Frank visits his dead family's graves, while Di…

Frank walks through the graveyard to visit his wife. Amy, Dinah, and Curtis come together in the trailer, reflecting on the impact of recent events and contemplating what to do about Frank. Frank arrives at his wife’s tombstone and mutters, asking for advice. He sits in front of the gravestone as the baritone voice sings about masks and disappearing. The somber instrumental and heart-breaking voice fades on a view of a concrete angel before the credits.

The White Buffalo’s music blends dark folk, modern rock, and alternative country. His first full-length album, Hogtied Like a Rodeo, debuted in 2002. In 2008, The White Buffalo re-recorded that debut album and independently released it as Hogtied Revisited, which included this week’s top song, ‘The Woods.’

Jake Smith, better known as The White Buffalo, was born in Oregon and grew up in Southern California. The singer/songwriter picked up a guitar at age 19 and began writing and performing in college. After performing with Ziggy Marley, Donavon Frankenreiter, and other talented musicians, The White Buffalo fan-base spread internationally.

Unison Music took notice and signed The White Buffalo. His 2012 full-length album, Once Upon a Time in the West, transitioned The White Buffalo to a more roots rock sound while still holding onto Smith’s folk style.

The White Buffalo has had sync success with multiple songs featured on tv shows and movies like Californication, Sons of Anarchy, The Punisher season 1, the 2013 film Safe Haven, and NBC hit series This Is Us, just to name a few.

The White Buffalo has had some particularly big moments on SOA. The final episode of season 4 generated tons of buzz with a ‘House of The Rising Sun’ cover featuring The Forest Rangers (led by musician and SOA music supervisor Bob Thiele, Jr.).

For the Sons of Anarchy series finale, The White Buffalo and The Forest Rangers came together once again with, ‘Come Join The Murder.’ This Emmy-nominated track was written by SOA creator, actor and executive producer, Kurt Sutter to conclude his seven-season cult hit show.
