Thom and Greta are intimate; (repeats) at the end.

Produced by Joshua Donen, David Fincher, Jennifer Miller, and Tim Miller, Love, Death & Robots covers an array of topics such as racism, war, free will, and human nature. Creator and executive producer, Tim Miller (Deadpool) and Executive producer, David Fincher (Gone Girl) teamed up for this 18-part animated series, a re-imagining of the 1981 animated sci-fi film Heavy Metal. Each short has a particular animation style from 2D to photo-real 3D CGI. The anthology includes robots gone wild, alien spiders, and even sentient dairy products.

In this under 20 minute stand-alone short called “Beyond the Aquila Drift”, Blue Goose’s crew–Thom, Suzy, and Ray–are on a mission when a routing error causes unexpected events. Thom and Greta are reunited and the rock instrumental brings the intensity. ‘Living In The Shadows’ grows and crescendos with a belting voice as Thom tries to grasp what has happened.

The Pennsylvania-native, Matthew Perryman Jones released his single ‘Living In The Shadows’ on January 15, 2016 under his label MPJ Music. The songwriter and truth seeker, considers life from every angle and utilizes the versatility of his tenor voice to tell stories that are both beautiful and meaningful.

Now based in Nashville, Matthew Perryman Jones started in the Atlanta singer/songwriter folk music scene in 1997. He moved to Nashville in 2000 and self-released his debut album, Nowhere Else But Here followed by an EP in 2003 titled For The Road. Jones embraced a rock-driven sound with his sophomore album in 2006 called Throwing Punches In The Dark. The release of his third album, Swallow the Sea, brought him national attention in 2008. Jones’ sound shifted towards pop and got him some high-profile television placements such as Kyle XY and One Tree Hill which both featured his song ‘Save You’.

Following his spike in popularity, Jones released two more EPs in 2010– digital release-only Crash, Boom, Bang and The Distance in Between. His song, ‘Out of Reach’ also landed on the season soundtrack for Pretty Little Liars that same year.

In 2011, Jones revisited songs from his earlier albums and placed them in an acoustic setting for Until the Dawn Appears. The next year, Jones turned to Kickstarter to fund his next album, Land of the Living, a rock album with a strong focus on philosophical themes. In 2015, Jones released another EP, Cold Answer before the release of his fifth studio album, The Waking Hours in 2018. Jones shows his gift for storytelling with poetic writing and a unique vocal tone.

After getting a big start with placements like Kyle XY, One Tree Hill, and Pretty Little Liars, Jones has been featured in many television shows and films, as well as trailers and promos.
