Modern spy thriller Killing Eve burst onto the scene with a killer soundtrack in 2018 and has since become somewhat of a cult hit. This smooth soundtrack features placements from artists such as Cigarettes After Sex, Skylar Grey, and Anna Karina. The series composer David Holmes frequently taps his electronic-noir band Unloved, throughout the series. As with any good thriller, Killing Eve had many surprises, not only in the series plot, but its soundtrack too. In 2020 the series topped Tunefind’s trending charts with a haunting cover version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ by Jack Leopards & The Dolphin Club.

Peaky Blinders is a British period crime drama series that follows the exploits of the Peaky Blinders crime gang in the direct aftermath of the World War I. With such an atmospheric setting and plot, the show also delivered a soundtrack that was equally as potent and captivating. Peaky Blinders was of high interest on Tunefind as fans would go searching for compelling songs they heard while watching the ambitious and cunning Tommy Shelby and his gang’s antics. The series often featured original songs in addition to its iconic use of a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds track for a theme song. The series may have ended this year with it’s sixth and final season, but something tells us that the soundtrack will remain as equally timeless.
