Near the end of last week’s episode, Lloyd gives Walker a guitar as a peace offering. Walker begins to play the guitar and sings in the bunkhouse. Walker says this song might suit Lloyd and as Walker sings everyone is emotional. The song continues as they ride their horses wrangling cattle.

‘The Poet’ was released on the 2010 album Junky Star. Junky Star debuted in the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 chart and the Top 10 on the Top Rock Albums chart. Bingham was awarded The Americana Music Association’s Artist of the Year in the same year.

Bingham’s major-label debut was his 2007 album Mescalito, produced by former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford. He shared an Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award with producer T Bone Burnett for the acoustic ballad ‘The Weary Kind’ from the 2009 film Crazy Heart.

Ryan Bingham launched Axster Bingham Records label and has released all his music through the label since 2014. In 2019, Bingham partnered with Live Nation and produced his own music festival named The Western. The Western is a two-day event in Luckenbach, Texas and features artists like Margo Price, Old 97’s, and previous top TV song artist Colter Wall.

Ryan Bingham pays homage to his Texas roots through his half dozen Americana albums “dedicated to the lost and wayward.” At a young age, Bingham joined the rodeo circuit as a bull rider and learned to play guitar at 16 years old. He would play for his friends after rodeos and continued playing small bars and honky tonks before landing in Los Angeles.

Bingham formed his band The Dead Horses and released Mescalito, Roadhouse Sun, and Junky Star. The Dead Horses parted ways in 2012 and Bingham released his fourth studio album, Tomorrowland on his own label.

In 2013, Bingham’s song ‘For Anyone’s Sake’ appeared in the end credits of the Nicolas Cage film, Joe. In the same year, Ryan Bingham wrote and recorded the theme song ‘Until I’m One With You’ for FX series The Bridge. In 2015, Bingham released his fifth studio album Fear And Saturday Night, followed by his first live album, Ryan Bingham Live at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas. Bingham released his sixth and latest studio album, American Love Song, in February 2019.
